Looking for Emergency Dental Insurance?

Unless you have Insurance at the time of the emergency, it is usually not an option. But there are options that will save you money and get you seen by a reliable Dentist when a painful emergency occurs. Normally with a Discounted Dental Plan you are able to get in to see the Dentist within 24 hours in cases od dental emergencies.

How Dental Insurance works:

Discount Plans has been around for a long time, but many consumers do not understand the difference between discounted plans and insurance. Dental Insurance costs can range from $50 to $150 per month depending on the services provided. When ever the insured patient visits the Dentist, the insuring company pays a portion of the bill, usually with a direct payment to the treating office. The insured client usually will have a deductible of $100 or more which must be paid out before the Insurance Company pays. Once the deductible is met, the company will typically pay out between 50-80% of the bill, and that will vary depending on the type of dental procedure.

In the Dental Insurance Industry provisions included in the contracts typically exclude dental cosmetics and there may be waiting peried for certain costly dental procedues. With certain costly dental treaments you may have to wait before having those treatments performed. With Dental Insurance you have an annual cap on you visits and services. Dental Insurance companies must limite the dental services provided in order to be profitable.

A Better Option:

One of the options to consumers is the Discount Plan. In fact many Insurance companies today are offering discounted plans to their clients. These discount plans cost less for the dental patient. Discounted Dental Plans have a network of private paractice Dentists who are willing to provide a discount to plan members.

Why would a Dentist accept a discounted fee for their services? Because the dental patient pays the same day the Dentist is willing to accept a discount fee. The Dental Discount Plan Patient pays at the time of service eliminated any dental insurance hassles. There is no paperwork. Having plan members referred also eliminates the need to pay expensive advertising costs, as the company sends them a steady stream of new patients.

In most areas of the US, discount plan members can receive up to 80% on dental services. The exact amount depends on the treatment. It;s a win win situation for both the dental plan member and Dentist.

Options for Emergency Dental Care Service:

1. Investigate Discount Dental Plans with no waiting period.
2. Arrange for a Dental Emergency visit.
3. Some Dentists are open on Saturday for dental emergency patients. On Sunday you may have to go the the Hospital or wait till Monday.
