Original Medicare covers incidents in the USA. If you travel outside the USA, it is advisable to have additional medicare coverage that will include medicare travel. Check with your Insurance Agent and be sure you are covered for travel overseas.
Medicare Supplemental Coverage
Medicare Supplement Insurance while helping Seniors cover additional health care costs, does not cover 100% of your medical expenses. For example long term care is not covered under these plans. It is advisable to consult your Insurance Agent about the advantages of long term care insurance.
Additional care that are not included with medicare supplemental are vision care and dental care plans. Hearing aids, eyeglasses, or private-duty nursing are also care that does not typically come with medicare supplemental insurance plans.
